Listening Skills

  1. I can follow a conversation or discussion about a familiar topic.
  2. I can listen to a short instructional talk and remember 7-10 points.
  3. I can understand the main ideas and important details from authentic audiovisual materials of up to six minutes in length.
  4. I can predict consequences and outcomes based on what I have heard.
  5. I can understand sets of instructions and follow them even when not in step-by-step form.

Reading Skills

  1. I can read authentic text that is 1–2 pages long and moderately complex.
  2. I can read for information, to learn English, and to develop reading skills.
