Bioethics.Net: where the world finds bioethics
Bioethics.Net is a site about the morals that scientists in the field of biotechnology should keep in their minds. I think that we tend to regard technology as more important than morals and ethics, so I think we should regard morals and ethics as important before we make big mistakes. We must not pay attention to only the greatness of science. I want for the future scientists, especially in the field of biotechnology, to read this site for them not to forget ethics. This site will help you to think about technology (especially biotechnology) again. If you don't understand biotechnology (especially about gene) well, you should click "Cloning & genetics". Then I want for you to learn about "bioethics ". I think that the idea of "bioethics" will become the problem that we must not avoid and can not avoid. Let's study about "bioethics" on this site!

BioExchange
The biology site I found is "Bio Exchange" which is the newspaper in Internet. There are "Editorials", "Features" and "Current News". The characteristics of the site are that the information is very hot and that there are many hyperlinks about biology. So this site is available when you want to know the hottest information of genome or gene. Moreover you will know when the events about biology will be held all over the world and what people will do in the event. You can get very important information from Bio Exchange. What do you do when you have questions about the news on the other site? We usually consult a dictionary or do nothing. But you can ask support staffs (support@bioexchange.com) what you want to know. This site is very available for students.

KIDS WEB
KIDS WEB is a site which contains a list of links to information that is understandable and interesting to school kids. This site consists of plural sites, "Arts", "Sciences", "Social Studies", and "Miscellaneous". I was interested in "Biology and Life Sciences" in the "Sciences". In the site of "Biology and Life Sciences", for example, we can search biology news and information about biotechnology graphically described. In the home page of biology news, you can get weekly updated new about biology. If you want to know last Nobel Prize, you click on the button of "Biology News". A list of news is opened. There, I found information on Nobel Prize, which includes laureates of this year's Nobel Prize for medicine, the key elements of the research, etc. I could easily understand the explanation in " key elements of the research". I thought that this site was really understandable to school kids. In the home page of biotechnology, you can get, for example, illustrations about biotechnological topics. The illustration gave me understandable profile of the topic.

    The Biology Page
I chose "The Biology Page", produced by Deloy Roberts. Mr. Roberts is a teacher at a high school and some contents made for his students on his site. "Biology Syllabus", "Grades", and "Lesson Plans" are really unrelated to us.
When you want to get items, for example experimental tools and instruments, "Biology Supply Houses" will help you. If you go "the Animal Dissection Page", you can learn about Earthworm, Clam, Crayfish, Frog, Grasshopper, Fish, Starfish, Mammal, Heart, Turtle, Bird and Shark. "Skyline Nature Area and Pond" is the page about the investigation with the Quaking Aspen Ecosystem. You can see a chronological table about this investigation. On "Animal Skull collection", you can see many pictures of lives skulls. There are some advices about promotions, going on to high school and college, how to study and so on on "Miscellaneous".
I thought that this site was somewhat the private one but it was not too bad. This site designed tastefully and it is worth seeing wonderful animated cartoons.

Recently, there was a famous topic. Prof. Alan J. Heeger, Prof. Alan G. MacDiarmid and Prof. Hideki Shirakawa won the Nobel prize. It's because that their research of plastic that conducts electricity was evaluated. Usually, it was supposed that plastics was a typical nonconductor. I thought so, too. Never before has technology been as important as today. Plastics are one of the most important things. Do you have any idea about the life without plastics? We are used to the life which is full of plastic products. But, we don't think of it much. Why don't you think of it? I recommend that you access American Plastics Council. This site provides lots of knowledge about plastics. For example, the relation between plastics and environment. History of plastics. Recycle of it. Use of it. Plastics in the microwave. Carbon Dioxide has increased and the global temperature becomes higher. So, this theme has much relation to climate.
First, I click "U.S. Climate Data." There are the forty-eight names of state in this page. I can know the maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation of each state from 1826 to 1994. I can see the change during the period of record.
Second, I click "Editorials." In this page, many issues editorials from 1983 to 2000 are introduced. I can look for the issues which I take an interest and read them easily. Moreover, if I can't search in this homepage or I want to know this theme in greater detail, I can click "Search the Site." Thereupon, I will be able to get more information about it.

I think this page is very interesting because this page consists of five sections of chemistry, five sections of matter, elements, atoms, math, reaction. Each section's content is very easy to understand and very interesting because this section has picture, illustration and quiz. This quiz is very useful. On trial, I answered this quiz and I sent my answer for checking my answers and this site graded my answer and sent a reply to me. The site not only checked answers but also gave me the explanation about quizzes. And they were very easy to understand. Finally, I like this site because this site teaches how interesting chemistry is.

    Interactive Learning Network
I chose this site from many chemical sites. The reason why I chose was not gap between a look at this site and contents.
If you don't like chemistry, and are poor at it do you want to read a site of only letter? I don't. But this site is NOT so.
First, you look at several pretty and plain illustrations. As there are many contents, you select interesting points among them. So if you just put a button, you can see "the periodic table", and draw several graphs. And if you enter a membership of this site, what's more, you can see many useful functions. Of course, I joined it.
This site also has lots of questions "Lesson". Yes, we can learn chemistry in earnest. For instance, we can review today's lesson and prepare for next lesson. I was pleased about "Laboratory Report Writer". Here we can write a cute report. I can enjoy writing disgusting reports.
Thus, people who like and don't like chemistry can take pleasure in this site and chemistry. I recommend that this site isn't only study but also taking a break. This site's only fault may be biased contents.

I think all people have heard their names. That's right! They are the Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry 2000. Their achievement is "discovery and development of conductive polymers". Do you know what polymers are? Polymers are plastics which are able to conduct electricity. Now these polymers are used in many ways in our everyday life, for example, displays in our mobile telephones and mini-format television screens. Not only these use, in the future, thanks to the polymers, we will be able to increase the speed and reduce the size of our computers. If you see this site, you can understand their wonderful discovery and development. If you want to know about these people more, you should click "Press releases", and if you want to know their achievements more, you should click "Information for public". My major is Computer Science. I have started to learn the C programming language since September. So I put the Advanced Searching Techniques to practical use and examined the C programming language. But there were a lot of web sites about it. I restricted beginner's web sites in it. And I found the web site called "DevCentral". I had difficulty in finding it. Because there were not good web sites much. But "DevCentral" was very good and well- arranged. This site gives a lot of resources to develop software and provides the DevCentral and DevJournal newsletter. I took notice of "Learning Center" in "DevCentral". Because many kinds of programming languages were introduced. I clicked on "C/C++" of "Tutorials".
The following is good points of "C/C++". First, this site was brief and to the point. I understood the contents at a glance. I searched for a lot of web sites. But there was not such brief site. Second, I restricted beginner's web sites in the C programming language. So this site was suited for a beginner. But there were also difficult contents. I thought that this site was suited for an expert, too. Third, this site provided the C compilers. It is necessary to put the C programming language into practice. The C compilers were free. The following is bad points of "C/C++". First, there were not samples of program much. The samples are important to understand the C programming language. Second, there were not tables and diagrams much. This site did not appeal to the eye. Third, this site started with the assumption that we know a procedural language like the Pascal or the Fortran already. So the explanations were difficult.
But I thought that this site was brief and to the point on the whole.

The reason why the fuel changes is that the amounts of natural gas, oil and coil lessened gradually and engineers knew Uranium used fuel of generator at atomic power station. This site also writes how to work generator and mechanism of atomic power station.
I'm interested in power plant and how to generate electricity, so I chose this site.

Where to Build - Listen to the Land - find a site for your new house
This site is about balance between nature and house. I would like to become an architect who is able to consider about environment of the place. So, my plan of the housemaking must have a lot of conditions. This site says that we may not be able to alter a landscape and many design elements will be affected by the land you build on. It is quite natural that several landscapes have some green. So the point of this website is fusion of nature and human. In other words, a housemaking plan has to match the nature around a house. There are many ways to match them. Color, form, scale, etc. But I think color is the most important point. If golden house is built in green field, the landscape will lose the original atmosphere and maybe a strange spot will appear. Another point of this site is that the atmosphere of the field can make house excellent. Although color of a house breaks the atmosphere of a house, atmosphere can make house wonderful. In short, this site shows there should be a balance between nature and house and they influence each other. So we should consider these balance.

    PHOTOVOLTAICS
I'm interested in a clear energy. Because recently the problem of how to prevent many pollution of environment is being raised all over the world. Now, it is the solar cell that I'm taking notice of as one of the clearest energy. So I searched for the web site about the solar cell. And I found a good web site. That site was written about the utility of the solar cell, how consist of this system, and how will the solar cell influence the environment, etc., and in addition, we can look at the detailed more information about those. Another good point is that it has a number of online and printable quizzes to help test our knowledge of PV (PV means photovoltaics, and this is concerned with solar cells) (click 'about Photovoltaics' --> 'Learning about PV' --> 'Online PV Quiz'). But I didn't do that quizzes, because I was afraid of knowing my ignorance. So I think that I have a challenge after studying very hard on my major.

Second it says how to use the solar connect estimator. It estimates how much energy which we will produce, how much pollution which you are able to prevent, and how much which you are able to save on your energy bills by installing solar power. Do you know why PV cells are using in many things? You can find out these question's answers in this site easily. Also you can understand how a solar cell works by using the animation, but it takes a lot of time to download. I think PV will solve the energy problem.
